New music.
When is it coming? Do you have any names yet? When will we learn specific details about what's coming soon?
All questions I would expect people to ask.
Here's answers to all three of those, plus some extra details I would want to share.
Question 1: When is new music coming?
I myself am not sure. I'm thinking it won't be until early 2026, but I have a good reason to. This upcoming album is unique in a number of ways; it has 9 songs (the most of any Senter album yet!), it's created in a brand new software I'm still learning, and it's the first album of mine I've put some real thought into. The other 2 were created before I made original tracks; I consider them to be more compilations rather than albums. Same with Elements, which was meant to be an album, but ended up being labelled as an EP due to how short it was. This upcoming album is the first to follow a sort of story, similar to Echoes Of Tethys's Hypgnot. This is more formatted as a poem of sorts, and will most likely be featured in various places once the new album is out.
Question 2: Do you have any names yet?
Yes. The whole album is planned, including individual song names and the overarching album name. This is quite different from how I used to go about creating an album, where I would make a song and then name it based off of what the song sounded like. I have all of the song names in a planning board, with a small description of what each should sound like. The care and planning I've put into this singular piece of creative joy is unmatched in comparison to any other album, single, or EP I've made.
Question 3: When will we learn specific details about what's coming soon?
This is also something I'm still deciding on. Most likely, when I feel I'm close to being done with this piece, I'll announce details, including the album name, showing off the album art, and the track list / some teasers as to the actual songs. However, this is always subject to change, and I am known to add little teasers here and there if you keep your eyes open...
The Story:
Here's something a bit cool you may enjoy reading.
I had the idea for this album, specifically the album name, on the way back from moving my brother into college. I started brainstorming bits and pieces, getting together some track names, but nothing really stuck. I had some thoughts on the album art, but nothing too solid.
When I arrived at home, I tried repeatedly to put my thoughts onto "paper", or my graphic design software, but everything I was creating didn't resonate properly. Eventually, after studying some other album covers that I particularly liked, I discovered what I was looking for. A monument in the background. I try and try to figure out what this monument is, but nothing comes to mind. I get a suggestion to take a break and play a game with some friends, which I take. After hopping off, it was like I got struck by an inspirational lightning bolt. Suddenly, I recognized the monument I was looking for, and it all clicked. I scrapped all previous track titles, keeping only the album name, and wrote the poem that guided me to the nine track titles that I'm now planning on using today. This was all written (or drawn) on a tarnished, wrinkled piece of lined notebook paper, which I am sad to say made its way into the trash can a while ago and cannot be recovered.
Hopefully, this message has cleared up some of the questions surrounding what's coming next. Thanks for reading.
