Horizons Progress Update 2
3/17/2026
Well, it's finally happened. On the heels of Echoes of Tethys's Hypgnot being released, I realized how behind I was. I'd been stuck in a loop of just opening and closing FL Studio, wondering how I had made tracks like Chronos and Relief. Frankly, I was expecting to announce the delay of Horizons soon.
However, that all turned around on February 17. I opened FL Studio, placed down a few notes, and liked their sound. For the first time since last November, I was finally working on my main upcoming release. Development of what would become Dunes went quickly. Multiple iterations were made each day, and after around two days, Dunes was completed.
Following directly on its heels was an early concept of Beacon, which (inspired by the general written idea I have for each song) started off as a high-pitched shimmery synth. I built some simple chords, added a ton of detail, and Beacon was completed.
From there, I was stuck in another rut. I didn't really know where to go. I added a small amount of extra detail to Beacon, but finally pushed myself to make something new. I reopened an old concept for Hope, which was originally made right after Awakening, and saw some potential. After fiddling with sounds, I finally landed on a couple of piano sounds that I could work with. Yet again, I was inspired to finish a track. Hope maintained its original two tracks, gained a beat, more extra layers, and a new, synthy feel. Once I felt I had completed it, I took a look at the duration.
Hope is the longest song I have ever created, at 3 minutes and 45 seconds. This surpasses songs from my early albums, which were made solely using loops, where making a longer track was easier. In addition to it being my longest song ever, I think Hope is the best song I've created so far, even over tracks like Relief. If this track didn't already have enough milestones to me, it also happens to be the halfway marker through Horizons. There are only 4 more tracks left to complete, and I have faith that I'll be able to finish them before I expect Horizons to be ready for release.
Speaking of that, let me give a little update as to when that will be. I am aiming for late May, although the latest I want to release is the end of June. This gives me plenty of time to fulfill my original promise of Spring 2026.
If you need something to listen to while you wait, I highly suggest taking a listen to Echoes Of Tethys's Hypgnot, or any of the 'H' singles depending on when you're reading this. As you know, I've collaborated with Echoes Of Tethys multiple times, and we have both supported each other as Horizons and Hypgnot have developed. I thank him for all of his support, and if you want to thank him as well, go check out Hypgnot.
In summary, Horizons is now half-complete after a period of creative block. Expect Horizons to be released around May, and keep an eye on Instagram or future updates right here for more details! In addition, if you would like more detail about any of the creative process or have any other questions, feel free to email me at senter.instrumental@gmail.com and I'll do my best to reply quickly. Thank you for supporting me as I work to make Horizons the best it can be.
